IT JUNIOR SUPPORT
POSITION : NON – EXECUTIVE
Key Responsibility :
IT Support consists of non-executive staff who are responsible for support and maintenance for critical container operations IT devices which consist of End User Computing – PC/Laptop/Printers at the entire terminal, Tablets for Quay Cranes(QC), RTG, Stackers, Terminal Trucks (TT), Shuttle Bus(SH), Operations Staff(CTAB) and Digital Truck Radio System(DTRS) equipment’s (Base Set & Walkie Talkie) used on equipment’s and by end users.
- Reporting to shift group IT Executive.
- Installation, Maintenance, and On-site Support of PCs, Laptop, and Printers.
- Installation, Maintenance, and On-site Support of 218 RTGs and 29 Stacker’s Tablets.
- Installation, Maintenance, and On-site Support of 605 units of TT Tablets.
- Installation, Maintenance, and On-site Support of 828 Base Set and Walkie Talkie DTRS devices.
- Installation, Maintenance, and On-site Support of 66 QC Tablets.
- Installation, Maintenance, and On-site Support of 75 Ops Tablet and 15 Shuttle Bus.
- Preventive Maintenance yearly on all above accountabilities.
- Daily Shift Report with issues details and resolution submitted to IT Executive at the end of every shift.
Scope of work
- 24/7 on-site shift support for EUC involving installation/maintenance/repair of Computer Hardware (Desktop and Laptops), Peripheral devices, and printers.
- 24/7 on-site shift support for EUC involving installation/maintenance/repair of Computer Software (Operating System, Email Services, MS Office products, Antivirus, Internal Application)
- 24/7 on-site shift support for Tablets, DTRS Base Set, and Portable Set devices
- Troubleshooting device failures or bugs and providing a temporary workaround or permanent solutions.
- Preventive Maintenance for all above IT devices (1-2 times yearly)
- Asset physical audit.
- New IT devices deployment for end users and equipment.
- Relocation of IT devices based on ad-hoc requests.
- Manual Installation of Windows patches/software upgrades/driver upgrades if the automated installation method fails.
Requirements :
- Minimum Diploma in IT or relevant. Any relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or other IT-related certifications, may be beneficial.
- Proficiency in computer hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and the ability to perform software installations and updates.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and other commonly used software applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- The ability to provide temporary workarounds or permanent solutions to device failures or bugs.

- Willingness and availability to work in a 24/7 shift environment as indicated in the job description.
- Any relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or other IT-related certifications, may be beneficial.
