POSITION : NON – EXECUTIVE

Job Summary:

The Gym Trainer will instruct or coach groups or individuals in exercise activities, demonstrate techniques and form, observe participants, and explain to them corrective measures to improve their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to facilitate exercises for both individual and group gym users
  • Able to deliver specific advice for Health Passport members, elderly users, and obese users.
  • Able to recommend exercise options that suit gym users’ needs and conditions
  • Able to handle group exercise (aerobic/Zumba)
  • Ability to lead physical therapy sessions for patients
  • Able to explains and enforces safety rules and regulations governing sports, recreational activities, and the use of exercise equipment.
  • Able to explain basic dietary if requested
  • Maintains involvement in a health and fitness program of gym management and HR.
  • Manage to handle emergency first aid, wraps injuries, and treat minor chronic disabilities in emergencies in the gym
  • Capable of executing a basic periodization program

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Fresh graduate in Sports/Science related field
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of exercise science and fitness techniques.
  • Understanding of nutrition and diet.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Speaks English fluently and confidently
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead classes effectively.

Desirable:

  • Certification of Personal Trainer Development Programme (PTDP)
  • Fitness Certifications (ACE/NASM/FITM)
  • Degree in Sports/Science related field
  • Degree in Physiotherapy
